Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965), is an American actress. Her most well-known work is portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The show ended on the 13, 2012, following the conclusion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech Therapist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and says she is a member of Passover seders.
